What the hey IS a VA, anyway?

There are a number of virtual assistant groups, each with their own definition of what defines a virtual assistant. They are all pretty similar, and all boil down to much the same thing.

A VA is:

• A highly trained, independent entrepreneur working from his or her own fully equipped office.
• A provider of a variety of administrative and clerical support services.
• Available on an as-needed basis, charging only for time-on-task.
• A strategic alliance that allows business owners and individuals to concentrate on what they need to grow and succeed.
• Committed to your success.
• One of the best resources a business can have.

As each VA comes to the table with their own individual educational background, experience, skill sets and vision, no two are quite the same. Since each client is also unique with varying needs, clients may use different VAs for different tasks - just as they may utilize the services of other independent contractors such as an accountant, lawyer, or other business service provider.
